Challenge
BT Align was contacted by a Wealth Management firm with offices in Naples, Atlanta and New York City with concerns about their ability to keep the business open during any severe weather events such as a hurricane.
Solution
- Completed review of entire IT Infrastructure environment including vendor contracts
- Identified flaws in data backup methodology and effectiveness
- Recommended a hybrid Business Continuity solution that would allow their financial advisors to continue working remotely in the event their office building(s) were without power or network access.
- Worked with the chosen service provider to implement a Business Continuity solution that provided real-time virtualization of any/all files and applications, as needed
Results
As a result, the firm was able to avoid any downtime and remained productive during the extended power outages caused by Hurricane Irma
